Dr. Anastasios Pappas is a Senior Economist and Head of the Research Department at the Hellenic Fiscal Council (Greece).
With over 20 years of experience across the private and public sectors, including financial institutions and local authorities, he applies his expertise to macroeconomics, monetary and fiscal policy.
Anastasios holds a PhD in International Macroeconomics, and concurrently teaches at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at institutions including the University of the Aegean and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
His work involves studying fiscal policy, financial crises and capital flows, contributing to both academic publications and public policy discourse.
